U. L. Coleman Companies congratulates Paul Arcement, a sophomore at Centenary College for receiving the Fall, 2013 U.L. Coleman Companies academic scholarship. Arcement was honored on Tuesday, October 8 at U.L. Coleman Companies’ central office where employees congratulated him and heard of his many accomplishments. Arcement was honored with a special check presentation by company president, U.L.(Linc) Coleman, III.
Arcement is a 2012 National Honor Society graduate of Byrd High School and successfully completed his Freshman year at Centenary with a 3.37 GPA while being named the 2013 Southern Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year (Baseball) and was also named to the 2013 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Tournament Baseball team. Just as he did at Byrd High School, Arcement is excelling in the classroom and baseball field where he pitches for the Centenary Gents. Arcement is majoring in Business with a concentration in Finance and has developed a keen interest in commercial real estate.
Dr. Chris Martin, Dean of Centenary’s Frost School of Business introduced Arcement to U.L. Coleman Companies personnel and Linc Coleman congratulated Arcement for his desire for high performance and excellence in his achievements. “Paul exemplifies the values that U.L. Coleman Companies provide to our community and our customers and we are proud to add him to our roll of Centenary and Louisiana State University in Shreveport scholarship recipients,” said Coleman. U.L. Coleman Companies began its’ local scholarship program in October 1995 and awards a scholarship to a deserving student from both institutions each year during the Fall and Spring semesters.
