David Pettiette • Construction Manager

David Pettiette has over 20 years experience in providing construction management and engineering services for commercial centers and mid-sized industrial developments. 

David currently leads Sequoia Construction in providing design and site planning, and construction management. He also oversees the general contracting services for commercial office buildings, office service centers, apartment communities, government facilities, historic renovation, rehabilitation, and interior tenant finish for existing buildings.  Sequoia Construction also provides consulting and market/feasibility analysis services, site selection and research, property acquisition, and master planning for clients. 

David graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, Louisiana.  David is a licensed Louisiana General Contractor and a State of Florida Board Certified General Contractor.


Cole Guthrie • Development Manager

Cole Guthrie joined U.L. Coleman Companies in January 2010 as Development Manager specializing in master plan development and sustainability. He leads the development team on all aspects of development from conception through completion. His previous business experience includes design and project management consultation for several national Master Planned Community developers.  Cole focuses on creating enduring project solutions by developing feasible budget and scheduling parameters to incorporate innovative components for unique but balanced projects.

 Cole is licensed as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Associate (LEED GA®) and a member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC®).  Cole is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI ®), the International Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA®), and the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA®). He is also a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM®) candidate, a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Management course, Shreveport Chamber of Commerce Leadership Shreveport program, and is currently pursuing his REALTOR’s® license. 

Cole is a native of Shreveport and earned a Bachelor’s of Landscape Architecture degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, and is currently pursing his Executive MBA from LSU Shreveport.


Eddie Foust • Project Manager, Construction

Eddie Foust has 12 years experience in construction building including residential, multi-family, and the commercial industries. 

 

Eddie graduated from Northwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.  He gained his construction management experience working for Highland, located in Dallas, TX and his project management experience working for Collegiate Development Services, located in Irving, TX, and Martin Fein Investments located in Houston, TX.  Eddie has managed the construction of 200+ residential units and 1200+ apartment units over his career.

 

As a Construction Project Manager, Eddie’s responsibilities include job cost estimating, value engineering,  scope development, contract negotiations/buyout, contract management, submittals/shop drawing approvals, RFI’s, coordination/scheduling of construction activities, material management, and project close out.  


Roger Moore • Project Manager, Architecture

Roger Moore is the in-house architect for Sequoia Construction, LLC, and provides design, code compliance and specifications support for Sequoia; assists the real estate development team and property management arms of UL Coleman Companies, and manages projects and consultants for both interests.

 

Roger has over 20 years of experience in architectural design, construction management and consulting, real estate valuation and due diligence, and hands-on construction practice.

 

Roger received a Bachelor of Arts from Texas Tech University and a Master of Architecture from the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture at the University of Houston. He is a former real estate officer with Chase Bank of Texas, a previous Lead Architect for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and spent almost a decade in private design practice and construction consulting before joining UL Coleman Companies.

 He is a registered architect and holds licenses in Texas and Louisiana, is nationally certified for reciprocal state licensing by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.

Kenneth Hill • Project Manager, Engineering

Kenneth Hill received his Bachelor of Science degree and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Louisiana Tech University. He began his career with the U. L. Coleman Companies as Project Manager for Sequoia Construction in 2006, bringing with him over 42 years experience in structural design and project management.  

His familiarity of bridge and heavy civil engineering projects, large multi-story buildings, along with construction layout and development of right-of-way plans, has become invaluable on a variety of projects with respect to quality assurance.     Kenneth is involved with several professional associations, such as the Society of American Military Engineers, American Council of Engineering Companies, Louisiana Engineering Society, and Louisiana Society of Professional Surveyors. 

A few of his major responsibilities include site inspection of properties and recommendations for repairs or replacement of paving, foundations, or structural systems. He also conducts quality control reviews during the design and construction phases of development.     


Dennis Procell • Project Superintendent

Dennis Procell adds 25 years of residential construction experience to the U. L. Coleman Companies associates' credentials. He began with the company in 1995, and is the Project Superintendent for Sequoia Construction. 

Some of Dennis’ job responsibilities include supervision of on-site personnel, coordination and oversight of multifamily renovations, tenant build outs, and development and coordination of project scheduling. 

Some of the major projects Dennis has spearheaded for Sequoia include the Greenwood Welcome Center, Fort Humbug indoor firing range, Louisiana State Exhibit Museum Building, Girl Scouts Pelican Council headquarters, and Independence Stadium.


Debbie Hicks • Construction Coordinator

Debbie Hicks joined the U.L. Coleman Companies team in 2003.  She is currently the Administrative Assistant for Sequoia Construction.  Her job duties include providing administrative support to the Construction Manager, Construction Superintendent, and Project Management team. Debbie also organizes and coordinates meetings, oversees vendor relations, handles invoices, and controls projects to aid in the continued success of Sequoia Construction. 

Her extensive background in the heavy construction industry for over 20 years as a Contracts Administrator has been a great asset in her current position. 

Over the years, Debbie has attended various seminars on efficiency and time management. She has also taken classes in various software programs essential to her position, including specialized software related to construction and project management.
