David Lester, CPA • Controller, Certified Public Accountant

David Lester, a Certified Public Accountant, heads the Accounting Department for the U. L. Coleman Companies.  David was appointed Controller in 1994, and serves as a corporate officer in this capacity for U. L. Coleman Company, Ltd. and U. L. Coleman Properties, Ltd.  Responsibilities include financial reporting, payroll, and data processing management. He has played an integral part in the tremendous growth of the company portfolio, and his leadership of the entire Accounting Department has been a key role in this accomplishment. 

David is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelors degree in Accounting.  Professional affiliations include membership in two honorary business fraternities and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. David was selected by the U. L. Coleman Companies to receive the Distinguished Sales and Marketing Executives Award in 2000. 

His experience prior to joining the company in 1988 was as a senior accountant with a Certified Public Accountants firm.


Sunny Bell • Staff Accountant

Sunny Bell joined the U. L. Coleman Companies' team in 2007 as a staff accountant, adding more than 10 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience to the department. Some of Sunny’s previous job duties included all aspects of bookkeeping, accounts payable, payroll, and filing sales tax reports. 

Her primary responsibilities currently include payroll accounting and processing for the entire U. L. Coleman Companies, and she assists in other accounting tasks and projects as needed. 

Sunny graduated from the Electronic Computer Programming Institute in Dallas, Texas, has taken extensive courses in general business and software development, received a Certificate in Non-Profit Management, and has successfully completed numerous seminars.


Richard Goff • Accounts Receivable

Richard Goff started with the U.L. Coleman Companies in March of 1999 handling Accounts Receivable.  He is responsible for delinquency collections of the commercial portfolio, reports, cash management, and manual checks. He also prepares preliminary accounts for some of the properties, and computes the leasing commissions due to our commercial agents. 

His previous experience is as a loan manager and with Consumer Credit Counseling Services. He also gained management experience during his time with the Money Store and Globe Loan Services.    

Richard also handles IT problems for the company.  He enjoys maintaining and troubleshooting computers. He has given training sessions on various programs as well as given individual assistance to associates.


Pamela Bruce • Accounts Payable

Before Pamela Bruce’s employment with the U.L. Coleman Companies in 2003, she worked for General Motors Acceptance Corporation in the Accounting department for 23 years.  She was promoted to the Assistant Accounting Manager for three of those years.  She was also the church secretary to the Pastor for five years at Shreve City Baptist Church. 

She currently handles Accounts Payable for the entire company portfolio.  Some of Pam’s job responsibilities include checking vendor statements monthly, securing W9’s for new vendors, taking care of all business licenses for all the properties, and overseeing the quarterly sales use tax reporting and processing. 

She also processes the property tax statements and billings for all of the multi-family and commercial properties.  She has taken additional training for Excel and Crystal Reports since joining U.L. Coleman. 
    


Camille LaPrairie • Accounting Assistant

Camille LaPrairie, Accounting Assistant, has over 15 years of accounting experience. She assists with approximately 2000 customer accounts, is responsible for researching and reconciling customer accounts, delinquency reports, calls to customers, and applying all payments to accounts and bank deposits.

Daniel Mueller, CPA • Staff Accountant, CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT

Daniel Mueller, a Certified Public Accountant, joined U.L. Coleman Companies in October 2013. Daniel manages various accounting operations of the company, particularly in the area of new development and construction accounting.

Daniel’s duties include monthly accounting and budgetary reports, bank reconciliations and working with Sequoia Construction on different construction accounting issues.

Daniel has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Decision Sciences from LSU in Baton Rouge. Daniel passed all portions of the CPA exam on his first attempt. After finishing school, Daniel was an auditor for the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations in New Orleans and then moved to the area to become a financial consultant for McKay Consulting in Shreveport.


Britney Waters • Staff Accountant

Britney Waters, born in Baltimore, Maryland, earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting and Business at Centenary College of Louisiana in 2013. Britney received the call offering her the job with UL Coleman Companies in May 2012, starting out as an Accounting Intern, as she was boarding the plane to fly to Paris, France. Some of her responsibilities with the company include maintaining and handling the utility billings and payments for all properties and affiliated accounts, bank reconciliations, stock investment portfolio reconciliations, credit collection accounts, monthly & quarterly accounting reports for her select properties, and assisting with the accounts payables. Britney is currently preparing for and working toward earning her CPA license.


Charlotte Taylor • Accounting Administrative Assistant

Charlotte Taylor came aboard with U.L. Coleman Companies as an Administrative Assistant in 1989 in several areas, including accounting, insurance, and Sequoia Construction. In this position, she processed accounts payable, assisted with bids on projects, was assigned various secretarial work, and maintained certificates of insurance for all subcontractors. 

In 1995, Charlotte became a full time employee of Sequoia Construction, and then took the Accounting Administrative Assistant position in 2003. She now trains new property managers and assistant managers on the property computer program for accounting purposes. Her duties also include monitoring insurance policies for the entire company, working with the credit bureau and maintaining a close association with the multi-family group. 

Charlotte received an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Bossier City Community College in 1991.
